We are currently looking especially for strong violists and double bassists, and a few good violinists to complement our membership. If you play another instrument but think you may be a good fit, please get in touch!
We are always interested in hearing from talented musicians looking for a group to make music with. If you've got orchestra experience and an extensive music education, you may be the right fit!
We expect musicians to attend every weekly rehearsal and concert and to take personal responsibility for the quality of their musical contribution. We also expect members to participate in the non-musical aspects of running the orchestra—we are all volunteers and we all contribute to making the orchestra work!
We do not do formal auditions—screening is done over email and if we both decide to continue, we'll invite you to play at a few rehearsals. You'll then have the opportunity to discuss your experience with your section leader/section rep and the HR rep and we can decide whether to make it ongoing!
Membership Information
- Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings at Little Trinity Anglican Church (425 King St E, just east of Parliament St).
- Membership fees are the cost of a single season subscription ticket.
